Wascana Eclipse was really aimed at Helios Eclipse. c and C++ is normally avaiable on all Linux & Unix systems. Many people use Windows for cross platform development. CDT etc. assumes you really have the stuff thats on Linux. The big thing on Windows is Visual Studio c and C++, which is not what they want. Wascana Eclipse was a wonderful single install of Helios Eclipse, all ready connected with the gnu type tool chain. For example: many colledge courses, and others, used this for doing multiple installs on Windows' PCs. I had access to a couple of PCs with 14 hard drives and several RedHat - Debian Linux servers.
